I have 2 standard users non admins on my computer. The trick works for one of them, and not the other. For the other user though, the UAC prompt still pops up. I have setup as task for each user and they each run their own, so that the task runs under the correct account not the administrator account. Does anyone have an explanation on why one account works fine and the other is still prompting? Windows has always bewildered me in acting different in 2 similar situations….
Another useful tool to bypass the UAC for a specific application is Runasrob. A better way is to elevate User Account Control without prompting. It leaves User Account Control enabled and tinkers just a bit with some of the settings of UAC instead of completely disabling the UAC function which disables the complete security feature in Windows 7 which is not a wise thing to do. This setting becomes immediately active.
Test it by launching a program that prompted for allowance before. You will have no prompt now. Thank you so much! Can it be made to work for a non-administrator account as well? The service is not available in the Home Premium edition and is available only in the Professional and ultimate editions.
Very useful, Ray. Will probably use this. Earlier I had UAC disabled in the registry, but that caused some side-effects and was no ideal situation, so edited it back in the registry. Mister two 3 weeks ago. Wickmesh 2 months ago. Emerald 4 months ago. Michaelmm 2 years ago.

There has got to be a simple program out that will do this in 2 to 3 steps…this is crazy and complicated.
A program you enter the file path to, boom…. I prefer it to MS search. Too bloated and complicated for allowing this little program to run. Any program launched through it will run with admin right without UAC prompt on Windows 10 x You may try more recent versions which are designed for very high screen resolutions.
The one I tried was buggy on my system. I suppose same thing can be done with shorcut managers or other kinds of program managers running with admin rights. And it works fine with them also. You just have to configure a hotkey to run the program you want, and launch the manager on connection to user session with highest privileges through the Task Scheduler. Thanks again. The layout of the comments is a bit ambiguous.
Trying to use this, the applications I want to bypass UAC on runs fine in the Test Runs inside the application, but refuse to open outside of it. No further details are presented. A very peculiar issue, not sure why that would cause any problems. So my question was whether I could exclude ceregkey.
WindowsOSHub seemed to say that I could use the registry tweak summarized in this. Thank you! Thanks for this. I had a licensed copy of Microsoft Money the last version of Money that Microsoft provided and it had the annoying launch question.
Your fix worked and has made my life much pleasanter. Thank you all for the guide. I have been searching for awhile now on how to do this. This one was flawless! It might even make some programs crash depending on the type of access they need to system resources. I assume with minimalist programs that run in a way that does not require special privileges, they most likely will run ok might affect where you can save though! No joy here.
Oh and it's more secure - admins running as administrators should know better :. Isn't that how we all became experts? The way I've been able to do it is to install Microsoft Application Compatibility Toolkit onto a machine with the problem software, run the 32bit or 64bit version of compatibility administrator depending on the architecture of the program and select fix from the top menu.
Give the program a name. Under program file installation, browse to the program exe and select it and click open. Click next. From the list scroll down to "RunAsInvoker" and select it. Click next, click next again. Click Auto-Generate and then Finish. Click Save from the menu and enter a name. Save to your desktop. Open notepad and write a. Both programms trigger the UAC-Window. At least with the nightly scheduled programm this is very bad, since my PC is waiting the whole night long for my confirmation of the UAC dialog. At the moment I am able to confirm it, that program causes much slowdown and I cancel it anyway.
So is there a way, that windows will start these 2 programms without prompting me everytime without deactivating UAC in general? Selectively disable UAC for your trusted Vista applications.
