Posted July 26, Completely agree. I have the game on Steam, and yes you can play it in widescreen, and it actually looks terrific still. However the briefings gets screwed up when you change res in registry, and that is a bummer, because the briefings are actually really really nice. If it is not fixed, i feel like GOG is becoming more and more a digital distribution platform rather than a restorative digital distribution platform.
Fix games and then release them. Really hoping for this. Game is on my wishlist, but will not buy unless i know if this is fixed. Fenixp Fenixp Sorry, data for given user is currently unavailable. Posted July 27, Yeah i get that they don't, but then again if they tune games to work in various environments such as Win7, it would not be that much more to ensure a custom resolution, it is not "adding" something to the game, as the game already plays quite well in high resolution.
It is only the briefings that are a problem, i imagine you could do some kind of trick that would scale resolution up and down whether it was gameplay or briefing Anyways, this is an awesome game, but as i said i got it on Steam soooo. Posted July 28, I think it is kinda weird that everybody goes into defensive mode over GOG. I am not blaming, accusing or even slandering in any way. All i am saying is that it would be awesome if they would fix that, as i am sure they have the capability.
Nobody agrees with that statement? It is okay if you guys think that they shouldn't, but don't go talking about why they shouldn't, because those reasons might be their company guidelines, because who is to say that those guidelines are perfect?
If you guys on the other hand think that it would be cool if they did, then say so, and stop arguing for why they shouldn't. This game would be so much better if that issue was fixed, and it is an issue. Don't take this the wrong way, i am not trying to start a flame war or anything like that. Thanks for this. Works in x I edited the registry width and height for Nexus and edited the rendering. How is this patch different than that method? Cinetyk mentioned switching between and for the briefing using the patch? I don't understand how that works.
I am playing through the game for the first time while I'm modding it to look better. Specifically getting rid of any stretching caused by playing in widescreen. And I would like to be able to view the briefings properly without having to quit the game and move files to do so. How is that doable? The only downside to this patch is the briefings are misaligned and that is unfixable, someone would have to completely redo them and the developers don't really care, even though its one of the best games of its genre out there.
Leondre Zobacz profil Zobacz posty. Since the old link to the res patcher was broken I ended up just making my own. It's pretty terrible.

Now wouldn't it be cool if there was a new graphics engine that can be used for all game genres and is adaptive, you just pick the resolution and it modifies the images and files to compensate with the resolution used. That would be awesome.
